What is a Service Unit?
A Service Unit is part of the Girl Scouts' volunteer structure. Service Units are an intermediate step between troops and the Girl Scout Council. Crossroads Service Unit is part of Girl Scouts of Northern California (GSNorCal) and serves girls in Pleasanton, Dublin, and Sunol.
Who are We?The Crossroads Service Unit (CRSU) is a volunteer-run organization that provides administrative support and acts as a liaison between Girl Scouts of Northern California and troop leaders/volunteers. We provide email communication about Council sponsored events, Service Unit events, adult volunteer training, product sales, as well as policies and procedures. We host a monthly Leader Meeting September through April to coincide with the school year. Our Service Unit Team (SUT) meets at least once a month August through June. Our SUT has the responsibility of managing the CRSU budget, as well as reviewing and approving events to be held within CRSU.

What do we Do?
We sponsor programs and provide support for Girl Scouts in our communities. Our goal is to ensure every Girl Scout in our area has an amazing experience that she will remember for a lifetime. These supplemental programs - Veteran's Day Parade, Scouts on Skates, Thinking Day, Camporees, Older Girl Events, and Badge Workshops - to name a few - complement the events individual troops plan throughout the year.
